Who Shot Bobby?

This was a cover story on a 1985 edition of TV guide and it was obvious that DALLAS had run out of ideas because it was recycling the old WHO SHOT JR STORYLINE and re-using it with Bobby in its place. Having just watched the last episode of Season 7 of the DALLAS DVD set, I have to say that the set up for it is pretty entriguing and that it defintely makes me want to come back for another go round with season eight.

However, there is NOTHING that happens in Season 7 that did not happen in any of the prior seasons. DALLAS was obviously creeping towards "Jump the Shark" territory (and the Bobby died- it was all a dram fiasco was definitely the nadir of the series) as it was becoming one giant rehash. An entertain rehash albeit, but a rehash none the less
