For those who lamented th end of the MTV Spiderman animated series – an excellent series that lasted only one season, there is a new Spiderman cartoon series on the horizon called the Spectacular Spiderman in the works. Other animated Spiderman series included the 1968 – 1970 Saturday Morning Series, the 1981 Saturday Morning Series and the 1994 Saturday Morning Series. (MTV broke tradition and aired it at night. Then again, the 1968 series was a major hit in syndication for close to 15 years) All these previous series were outstanding so the new one will hopefully keep the tradition alive.
