Since I was speaking of Chiller TV I wanted to mention that the very excellent program NIGHT GALLERY is airing on Chiller in its original one hour version. I remember watching this series as a kid when it was in syndication and it was hacked to a half hour in order to create more episode for syndication. I always thought the show was missing something then I later discovered that hack edits designed to fit segments into the half hour format. The shows while flawed in this format were still compelling and there were a number of creepy story lines out in the series that made it memorable. Considering that the show ran quite a while in syndication it would seem that others agreed. In fact, Rod Serling probably could have had a longer network run with series, but he had issues with the network and the partnership was not working out. What a shame! While nowhere near as good as THE TWILIGHT ZONE this series still had a number of positives associated with it making it a fine anthology series.
