I miss the old territory system of wrestling...I really do. While I grew up watching th WWWF I did discovered Florida Wrestling on a trip south one year and thought it was really cool. Many years later, I would watch several hours of old Florida footage on tape and found it to be really fun and enjoyable. All the superstars of the NWA made trips to the territory such as the Funk, Superstar Graham and, of course, Dusty Rhodes. Now, while it is obvious that the program aired on TV in Florida, the program was also syndicated nationally on 122 channels from the late 1960's to the early 1980's. In fact, it aired on UHF in Newark, NJ...a 10 minute train ride from MSG. Believe it or not, the popularity of Florida wrestling was so strong that Dusty never appeared on WWWF Tv prior to his first match against Superstar Graham at MSG yet MSG was sold out and there was overflow in the Felt Forum
