Does anyone out there know
anything about a lost Bruce Lee “television news series” from the 1960’s? I
believe I read somewhere that he appeared in a few episodes of a local news
channel (either in California or laceName w:st="on">WashingtonlaceName> laceType w:st="on">StatelaceType>) and demonstrated martial arts. I
think they filmed a number of sequences. I don’t think any of it was archived
and as of right now it would appear to be completely lost to history. However,
this was assumed of his appearances on Honk Kong TV, but silent footage of
super 8mm film that someone shot off their TV screen has long since turned up
so who knows. This would a cool rarity that would be interesting to see if it
ever turns up. What a shame they didn’t have VCR’s back them. And what an even
greater shame that many TV stations did not archive their footage. On a side
note, despite Philly’s local Dr. Shock Show being a hit from 1969 – 1978, there
are no known existing episodes other than the 1979 tribute to Dr. Shock
compilation. What a pity.
