Ok, here is another classic Burger King commercial and it is one of the rare Burger King character commercials from the late 1970's. This commercial debuted Burger King's resident Grimace rip-off Sir Shake A Lot. The purpose of Grimace was to push shakes and so is this dopey Burger King character. Unfortunately, where Grimace was lovable and goofy Sir Shake A Lot's actions are rather ominously indicative of a person going through drug withdrawal. And the Burger King looks like one of those rock stars from the 1960's who was still singing int he 1970's but definitely looked middle aged. And for the hopelessly trivia minded let it be known that Grimace originally debuted as the "Evil Grimace" and was a bad guy. Anyway....here is another glimpse at a failed Burger King ad campaign for those as hopeless as myself.
