Here is an incredibly rare color clip of a very thin Jackie Gleason performing the Honeymooners skit on CBS circa the early 1970's. I need to do a little research on this as I was unaware of the fact that The Honeymooners continued to produce original skits long after the series itself had gone off the air. It is interesting to see an aged Ralph Kramden, but the topical humor of Women's Lib simply doesn't translate well in the skit. You simply can't pick up a sitcom no matter how great it was from one era and simply transplant it two decades into the future. What worked in the 1950's didn't work in the 1970's. Then again, those Three Stooges movies did well at the box office.....
