Honeymooners First Episode
It was the late 1970's and while a little kid like myself should have been in bed but there were three great shows that popped up on Philadelphia's Channel 48 late at night: DARK SHADOWS (probably the only soap opera that saw syndicated reruns on UHF), MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN and.....THE HONEYMOONERS. Watching that unique and original and dare it be said HAUNTING opening to the program let you know you were watching something special. Granted, much of the humor went over my head but watching reruns in the 1990's on New York's Channel 11 saw men truly understand the brilliant humor of what was an amazing and groundbreaking program.
Looks like Ed Norton didn't work in the sewer in this first episode.
And, no, that isn't Audrey Meadows as Alice.
