For those of you wondering why Friday the 13th the series - which was a decent and uneven horror television series from Canada - had nothing to do with the film series Friday the 13th it is simply marketing. Basically, this series which had to do with a cursed gift shop had a different title and kept that different title well into the production of the series. However, right before the debut it was believed that "borrowing" the Friday the 13th title would draw in an audience. It worked. But, unlike the crappy Nightmare on Elm Street Series...audiences didn't depart this series. They stuck with it for 3 years! Well, it did have some solid episodes so it is not like it is undeserved.
