Let us just get this out of the way: i am not a huge fan of daytime soaps. This does not mean that I dislike them it is just that they generally never grabbed me, but I did sometimes see solid storylines in DAYS OF OUR LIVES and ALL MY CHILDREN but never enough to really sustain my interest. I did, however, enjoy such cult soap programming as the long running EDGE OF NIGHT and the sadly, sadly short lived DARK SHADOWS. Of course, soaps have their mass multitude of fans and if you fall into this category then you need to check out the following: www.soapoperanetwork.com/. This is a solid resource that provides info in an easy to navigate format. Now, there is also a Soap Opera cable channel that runs a few classic reruns.  This is good news as the historian in me feared that many classic episodes were wiped as there were no soap reruns. (BTW - why not?) Of course, with the expanding cable universe and rapidly expanding internet streaming capabilities we will probably see more and more of this soaps made available. Well, hopefully. Even if I an not a fan I would NEVER want to see any classic TV erased or shelved.
